Iran Press/Iran news: "Next Monday, a meeting at the level of foreign ministers will be held in New York, chaired by Algeria, with an agenda focused on developments in the Middle East, particularly the issues of Palestine and Gaza," Ismail Baqaei said.
He added: "Iran has been invited to participate. Several countries from the region will attend at the ministerial level. The focus of the meeting will be on the ongoing genocide and crimes of the Israeli regime, and Abbas Araghchi is also expected to attend this session."
We Never Beg for Negotiation
"Iran has always pursued the path of dialogue to dispel doubts which are unjustified about its nuclear program," Baqaei said.
"Negotiations are underway today and tomorrow, in Geneva on some issues between Iran and three European countries. We will make a decision on the US in due course, based on its actions and approaches, he added.
We don't beg for negotiation. It is a two-way street that is achievable by emphasizing and recognizing mutual interests and mutual respect.
He emphasized: "The issue of lifting sanctions has always been a priority for us. The first goal is to lift the sanctions that have been illegally and cruelly imposed on the Iranian nation for years."
According to Baqhaei, in these talks, a series of regional and international issues, the nuclear issue, and discussions with the three countries and the European Union will be discussed."
Iran's President's upcoming trip to Russia
Regarding the significance of Iran's President's trip to Russia, Esmaeil Baqaei stated: "Iran and Russia have been negotiating the strategic partnership treaty between the two sides over the past three to four years, with various drafts exchanged. It was finalized this summer and is set to be signed during this trip. This treaty covers a wide range of topics in the fields of economy, transportation, energy, health, agriculture, cooperation in addressing common challenges, reducing the impacts of natural disasters, combating terrorism and organized crime, renewable energy, discussions related to transportation and logistics, road, rail, air, and maritime transport, as well as the transfer of experience and technical knowledge in various areas."
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted: "This treaty is an updated text of the agreement we had concluded with Russia since the late 1990s. The agreement forms the basis of mutual relations and principles of cooperation between Iran and Russia, which has been in effect since 2002 and is currently operational. Efforts were made to draft the new treaty with more detail and specificity, considering the developments and expansion of relations between the two countries in various fields.
MFA Spox: Future of Tehran-Beirut Ties Positive
The Spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the Tehran-Beirut relations as going well while pointing to the positive history of the countries' relations.
Congratulating the Lebanese nation and political parties for the election of Josef Own, and expressed hope that the election would lead to the betterment of Lebanon including its economy and re-construction.
As with the Israeli regime and the aggression on the Lebanese territories amidst the ceasefire, Baqaei said that Israel does not adhere to any commitment and those, including France and the US, that introduced themselves as the guarantors of this ceasefire, must be held accountable.
Iran-Syria Future Ties Depend on Mutal Behavior
Baqaei also pointed to the Syrian developments and the interim ruling system there, noting that the Islamic Republic believes that the Syrian nation must be allowed to determine their own destiny free from any foreign intervention.
Regarding the future of Iran-Syria relations, he said it depends on the performance of the each of the sides and that the points and specifics of Iran's approach towards Syria have been stated in previous statements by the Foreign Minister.
The FM Spokesman stressed: "Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity are important to us, and in this regard, the region should not hesitate to provide any assistance it can."
Security of South Caucuses Important
Regarding the visit of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) to Baku and Yerevan, Baqaei mentioned that the visit had been planned in advance. He emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relations with both countries and highlighted the significance of security in the South Caucasus.
Baqaei stated that every effort would be made to ensure the promotion of security and stability in the region. This visit aimed to strengthen exchanges and dialogues between the two nations, ensuring the continuation of ongoing processes to maintain and enhance peace and tranquility in the region, including through the 3+3 format.
Gaza developments
Pointing to the continuation of genocide in Gaza, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "It is shameful that the world and organizations that are supposed to represent peace, security, and international justice have failed to fulfill their duties."
He said: "The main reason for this situation is the support of countries that have effectively taken the Security Council hostage, preventing any action by this council to confront the genocide, and also by providing military and financial aid to the occupying regime, they are contributing to the continuation of the genocide. For this reason, various reporters from the Human Rights Council have repeatedly stated that the countries assisting are complicit in these crimes and bear international responsibility for those who support these atrocities."
He continued: "The decisions of the International Court of Justice remain stagnant and unimplemented, and the International Criminal Court is under pressure not to pursue the prosecution of Israeli criminals."
France's unconstructive actions towards Iran
Referring to France's recent anti-Iranian actions, including President Emmanuel Macron's statements, the summoning of the Iranian ambassador to Paris, and more, Baqaei commented: "We hope that France can free itself from this confusion and disorientation and adopt an independent and constructive approach towards the region and regional developments."
Emphasizing that the claims made regarding Iran's nuclear program are baseless, he stated: "We have responded appropriately to the positions taken in recent days, and these accusations have been raised for 20 years without any legal foundation. A significant portion of these statements is projection."
