Moscow (IP) - The 9th international meeting of heads of law enforcement organizations and civil rights defenders known as "ombudsman" began in Moscow with the presence of senior judicial, legal, and supervisory officials of 22 member and observer countries.

Iran Press/Europe:  According to Iranpress news agency from Moscow, the international meeting of the Eurasian Union of Ombudsmen began its work in Moscow with the presence of heads of law enforcement agencies and civil rights defenders, including senior officials of 10 member countries and 12 observer countries.

Russia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Serbia, Tajikistan, and Mongolia are the main members of the Union of Eurasian Ombudsmen, and 12 Eurasian countries are also present as observers in this meeting.

In this meeting, Zabihullah Khodaeian, the head of the General Inspection Organization, which is considered the ombudsman of the Islamic Republic of Iran, explained the actions of Iran in the field of how to monitor the implementation of laws, the rights of citizens, support entrepreneurs and economic activists, humanitarian activities and fight against economic corruption.

Meeting and consultation with the high judicial, supervisory, and legal authorities of Russia and the countries participating in this summit will be Khodaeian's other programs in Moscow.

On Tuesday, Khodaeian met with Igor Viktorovich Krasnov, the Prosecutor-General of Russia, and discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation in the judicial, legal, and regulatory fields.

Khodaeian also met and talked with Tatyana Nikolayevna Moskalkova, the Russian ombudsman, this evening. 204
