Tehran (IP) - Following the string of space successes of Iran, the country's Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) reported the advent of the Martyr Soleimani satellite system until 2024.

Iran PressIran news: Answering the reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Isa Zarepour said the first phase of the Martyr Soleimani project would be launched in the next two years, the contracts of which were concluded with the domestic knowledge-based companies. 

Zarepour mentioned the project as a part of the implementation of Iran's 10-year plan for space industry development and that the Martyr Soleimani satellite was a telecommunication one designed for the Leo orbit.

He said it was the first time the ICT ministry had engaged the private sector, especially the knowledge-based companies.
