Iran Press /Iran News: Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda, speaking at the commemoration ceremony of martyr Mohammad Hussein Fahmideh and 36,000 other martyred students in the northeastern Khorasan Razavi province on Saturday, added: "The choice of martyrdom led to the 13-year-old teenager being given the leadership position."
He also expressed hope that young people insure this world and the hereafter by adopting martyr Fahmideh as their role model, and by following his footsteps.
The commemoration ceremony of martyr Mohammad Hussein Fahmideh and 36,000 other martyred students in Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi province, hosted over 3,000 elite students with the aim of exemplifying this martyr and promoting a culture of martyrdom.

On 30 October 1980, during the war between Iraq and Iran, Mohammad Hussein Fahmideh, a 13-year-old teenage boy crawled beneath an Iraqi tank and exploded a grenade.
Ayatollah Khomeini declared Fahmideh an Iranian national hero, saying "Our leader is that 13-year-old child who threw himself with his little heart against the enemy."
The day of his martyrdom, 30 October, has been designated as 'Student Basij Day' in the official calendar of Iran. 101/211
