Iran Press/ Iran news: According to the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran, this 5 magnitude earthquake occurred on Friday, at 20:11:19.
The quake occurred at a depth of 40 km.
the epicenter of the quake was 53 km west of Mahabad and 15 km North of Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan Province.
The earthquake was also felt in the Iran-Iraq border regions.
No damage has been reported so far.
