Brazil is dedicated to enhancing democracy, spearheading the energy transition, and boosting its attractiveness for investment. This commitment was expressed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva during a press conference at the Palácio do Planalto, as reported by TV BRICS, referencing the Brazilian government's press service.

The Big Picture:
The head of state emphasized the significance of the upcoming 2025 BRICS summit and the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP30). According to him, COP30, which will take place in Belem, will not only draw attention to climate change but also showcase the lives of the region’s indigenous peoples.

What He is Saying:
Over the past two years, Brazil has opened more than 300 new markets for agricultural products. Lula da Silva also announced the first major event of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, launched by Brazil during its G20 presidency.

We will hold a meeting to showcase what we are doing well in the fight against hunger in Brazil, he said adding the country’s recently adopted tax reform would make Brazil more attractive to foreign investors.
