The Lebanese Health Minister said that the ministry, on behalf of the passengers of Iran’s Mahan Airline, who were injured due to the hostile action of two US fighters, files lawsuit to international bodies.

Iran Press/Middle East: Visiting the injured on Saturday, Hamad Hassan condemned the attack by two US fighters on the Iranian civilian plane flying to Beirut over Syria’s sky, calling it an act of "criminal intimidation".

Hassan stressed that the ministry will file a lawsuit in international bodies on behalf of all those who were frightened by the incident and affected by the threat, both mentally and physically.

He also stressed international criminal court must be held accountable for such attacks under the international law that emphasizes the protection of the lives of innocent passengers and the safety of the aircraft.

“While the earth is plagued by a pandemic called the corona, the sky is plagued by an evil disease that we must respond to,” the Lebanese health minister said.

Following US fighter jets harassing Civilian Flight 1152 of Mahan Airline over Syrian territory which was en route to Beirut from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the international airspace in the Syrian skies on Thursday 23 July, a number of passengers were injured due to the pilot's reaction to collision prevention.
