Iran Press/ Iran news: Lovers of Imam Hussain (a) annually hold a great rally 'Arbaeen March' to commemorate the occasion which is 40 days after the Imam was martyred by the army of then-time tyrant Yazid I some 1,400 years ago.
The message of appreciation was conveyed to the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Soudani by the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday morning.
The letter written in Arabic read:
The first word is appreciation; On behalf of myself and the great Iranian nation I would like to express my sincere appreciation both to you, the mawkib-holders who culminated generosity, hospitality, and kindness, and to the great Iraqi nation and the authorities in the Iraqi government who have ensured the security and space, a prepared the grounds [for the event]; [I] especially appreciate the respected Ulema and grand Marjas who fostered an atmosphere of pilgrimage and [the atmosphere of] brotherhood among the people and between the two nations. It is indeed a matter of appreciation.
Your behavior, you dear Iraqi brothers, in the mid-way mawkibs and your generous behavior with Imam Hussain's (a) pilgrims is non-to second in today's world as the Arbaeen march itself is unique in history and as to protect the security and safety of tens of millions of people it is a great and unique work in the world.
You exhibited Islamic and Arabic dignity in your behavior and actions, which are all for the sake of loving Sayyed ul-Shuhada (a) (Imam Hussain (a)). This love for Hussain Ibn Ali is an exceptional matter; similar to this we have not seen anywhere and in any time. We hope that God, the Al-Mighty, will add to the love in your hearts and our hearts. Thanks God.
