Iran Press/Iran News: The students attended the mourning procession at the end of a march that began at the University of Tehran on Sunday morning which marks the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam.
Arbaeen, which is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, comes 40 days after Ashura, the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS). Every year a huge crowd of Shia flock to the Iraqi city of Karbala, where the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) is located, to perform mourning rituals.
