Iran Press/Iran news: Iran National Navy Day is celebrated on 28 November (7th Azar in the Persian Calendar) to commemorate Operation 'Morvarid' (Pearl) on 28 November 1980, a sea battle in the Iraqi imposed war in which Iranian Destroyer 'Peykan' (Arrow) retaliate an Iraqi Baath regime attack on two Iranian oil platforms.
In the Pearl Operation, the Iranian Navy Peykan Destroyer with arial support annihilated the Iraqi navy.
