Zionist regime will not be able to evade defeat
Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said the Zionist regime will not be able to evade defeat by resorting to desperate acts such as the airstrike it carried out against the Iranian consulate in Syria.
“The Zionist regime’s defeat in Gaza will continue and this regime will approach demise and collapse,” said Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Leader made the remarks while receiving senior Iranian officials and legislators on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan in Tehran on Wednesday.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized: “The defeat of the Zionist regime in Gaza will linger, and the regime will come close to collapse and dissolution. Desperate attempts like the actions the regime committed in Syria will not save them from defeat. Of course, they will also be slapped for these acts.”
“The cowardly efforts by the Zionist regime like the one they carried out in Syria will not save them from defeat. They will of course receive a slap in the face for this move,” he added
“The Zionist regime’s defeat in Gaza will continue and this regime will approach demise and collapse,” stressed Ayatollah Khamenei.
On Monday afternoon, an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate killed two Iranian military generals who were on an advisory mission to Syria as well as five of their accompanying officers.
Iranian officials have emphasized the country’s right to deliver a firm response to the Israeli crime that violated all international obligations and conventions.
World Quds Day will turn into an international uproar against the Zionist regime
Imam Khamenei said that demonstrations planned for this year’s Quds Day, which will be marked on April 5 on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, will mobilize supporters of Palestine not only in Muslim countries but in non-Muslim countries who have been pushing for an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The leader also said that this year’s International Quds Day, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, will turn into an international uproar against the occupying Zionist regime.
The Quds Day was held only in Islamic countries in previous years, but in this year it will most likely be held in non-Muslim nations, he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei also called on the Iranian people to participate in this day's rallies en masse.
In 1979, the founding father of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, designated the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day, marked by holding demonstrations against the Israeli regime.
Iran is undertaking ‘vast infrastructure’ endeavors
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader touched upon Iran’s current economic situation and said that the country is undertaking some vast economic infrastructure endeavors that will pay off in the future.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran has been going through some “sweet and bitter” economic experiences in recent years as he insisted that more work is needed to be done to improve the country’s economic situation.
“The sweet part of the economy entails the vast infrastructure activities which will bear results in the middle run and in the not-so distant future,” he said.
The last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan each year is the day for renewing allegiance with an ideal that was 45 years ago turned into the linking ring for the world freedom lovers and defense for the oppressed Palestinians, as a humane value.
Millions of people annually attended Quds Day rallies across Iran and other Muslim countries to show their solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and condemn Israeli atrocities.
