Iran Press/ Iran News: Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Tehran late on Sunday and was welcomed by president Ebrahim Raisi at Saadabad Historical Complex on Monday.
After meeting and signing the agreements, the two presidents spoke in a televised meeting.
On the sidelines of their meetings, the presidents of Iran and Belarus visited the knowledge-based exhibition and achievements of Iranian companies.
Leader receives President of Belarus
The Leader of the Revolution considered one of the commonalities between Iran and Belarus, the sanction of the two countries by the US and some Western countries on these two countries, and emphasized: Countries subject to US sanctions must counter the scheme of sanctions through cooperation and by setting up a joint assembly, and this can be done.
Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, during the meeting with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and his accompanying delegation, referred to the capacity of cooperation between the two countries far beyond the current level and emphasized: the spirit and will of both sides should be used to implement the agreements, the level of relationships will increase significantly.
Referring to the American sanctions against Iran, the Leader of the Revolution pointed out: severe sanctions made Iran realize its capabilities and we were able to make amazing progress in various fields, including science and technology, medicine and biology, aerospace, nuclear, and nano.
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: If the countries that have been sanctioned by the US use all of each other's capacity, it will be of great benefit to all parties.
He also pointed to the North-South Corridor and said: The establishment of the corridor is in the interest of both countries, as well as Russia and the region, and both sides should work to establish it.
The Leader noted: the agreements must be implemented with special follow-up and specific timing.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also considered the world today to be in need of spirituality and said: Spirituality can be a driving factor for nations.
In the meeting, Lukashenko said: I have come to Iran to assure that I am determined to open a new page in the relations between the two countries, and with the cooperation and will of the Iranian president, we will implement all agreements with special follow-up and specific timing.
The President of Belarus emphasized: The Islamic Republic of Iran archived amazing experiences during the sanctions period, and we believe that the sanctions can be an opportunity for progress.
In the end, Lukashenko said, today's difficult situation made us recognize our real and unreal friends, and we are determined to cooperate with real companions.
