Iran Press/Iran news: In response to a letter from Iran's Chief of the Judiciary to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to pardon or commute the punishment of 3,721 convicts who have been found to be eligible for amnesty and pardon by the Central Commission on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei agreed with the request.
The report adds that Ayatollah Khamenei in implementing paragraph 11 of Article 110 of the Constitution agreed with the above proposal.
