Iran Press/ Iran News: Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini, the spokesman for the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said that the deputy foreign ministers and other relevant officials had submitted to the commission their assessments of Iran's diplomatic relations with its neighbors, especially Saudi Arabia.
Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini said: "The National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly had a meeting today in which the Deputy Foreign Minister and other relevant officials examined Iran's diplomatic relations with its neighbors, especially Saudi Arabia, and the latest developments in this field."
"Saudi Arabia is one of the important countries in the region, which has its interests in some countries in the region. On the other hand, Iran has also its strategies and interests," added the spokesman.
He reminded that there should be a balance between the interests of countries and the neighbors' demands so that mutual interests are not harmed in the development of relations.
Abbaszadeh Meshkini stated: Tehran is determined to expand relations with its neighbors, and it seems that there are no serious obstacles from Iran. Of course, differences are natural.
"We hope that the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will be established widely," he added, referring to the four rounds of Tehran-Riyadh talks.
