Iran Press/ Europe: Speaking at the Joint Presser with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Wednesday, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said: " We pay special attention to the development of trade and economic relations with Iran, despite the US sanctions, trade relations continue and have increased by 22% last year. "
He further stressed: "We do not support the destructive line of the West in trying to change the structure of the world. American laws are based on their own regulations. That's why we act within the framework of the group of human rights deffenders."
Lavrov further stated: "We talked about the JCPOA and we want to revive it as soon as possible while waiting for the US to return to this commitment."
He elsewhere stressed: "Russia and Iran have a common understanding that there is no alternative to the JCPOA, this agreement is necessary for its speedy implementation as soon as possible and all illegal sanctions against Iran must be removed."
Russian Foreign Minister finally concluded: "We welcome the improvement of the situation in the Middle East, especially regarding the restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and we support Iran's Hormuz peace initiative."
