Iran Press/ Europe: Criticizing US policies, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a political rally at Russia's Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund on Tuesday that US unilateral sanctions, which have been illegal, have caused serious damage to people in a number of countries, including Iran, Syria and North Korea.
"Western countries and in the first place the US, do not welcome the proposal for a humanitarian ceasefire, and they will not relinquish any of their sanctions on the shipment of goods and equipment to fight the Coronavirus," Lavrov said.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, these restrictions prevent the purchase of special protective equipment against the Coronavirus by these countries (including Iran, Syria and North Korea).

"Obviously, Corona, which has been a difficult test for all countries and international organizations, should encourage us to think about world events and how we should live and prosper, and bring peace, stability, and security to the world," Lavrov said.
"In the current situation, we need a collective approach to building international relations. The theory of supremacy and hegemony in the 21st century is futile," he said. 104/207
