Darkhoveyn (IP) - The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said that Karun Atomic Power Plant will be built in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking on Thursday evening in Darkhoveyn Rural District in Shadegan County, Mohammad Eslami emphasized that the enemies of the Iranian nation think they can stop the movement and progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran by sedition.

He added: "Today, all Islam is standing against all the forces of idolatry, and the spirit of martyrdom and sacrifice is needed for social victory."

The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization stated: "In order to protect the martyrs, the Karun Atomic Power Plant, which has been recognized as world registration, will be built in Shadegan County so that Iran does not count on foreigners in this regard."

Earlier, Eslami stressed that the ones behind the maximum pressure policy want Iran to fulfill its obligations unilaterally, while they do not adhere to their obligations.

He went on saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not tolerate political pressures, smearing campaign and sabotage."

The AEOI head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, however, stated: "Iran will continue relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the safeguards framework and by interacting, coordinating, and pursuing, it prevents the production of new ambiguities in the process of cooperation with the IAEA."

The IAEA has repeatedly made allegations about Iran's peaceful nuclear activities under the pressure of the Western parties and Israeli officials, which is incompatible with the background of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always had positive interactions with the IAEA, while insisting that this cooperation should not be affected by political pressure.
