Tehran (IP) - During a ceremony, the Karrar armed interceptor drone was added to the UAV fleet of Iran's Army Air Defense on Dec. 6, 2023.

Iran PressIran news: Attending the said army event, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army stressed that you all are witnessing another stage of upgrading the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force.

Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi emphasized: "Since a long time ago, the need was felt to supply the armed forces with all-Iranian drones made by Iranian scientists."

He further noted: "For the first time in the exercise that was held about two months ago, the Karrrar drone passed its operational test, and the second stage of connecting the Karrar Armed drones to the Majid missile, which will add considerable power to the air force."

Addressing Iran's enemies, he said that the enemies should reconsider their air-to-air combat strategies and tactics, especially in drones, because Iran has a special status in this field today.

Also, the Commander of Iran's Army Air Defense, said: "With scientific and round-the-clock joint work between the Air Defense Forces and the Ministry of Defense, for the first time, Iranians succeeded in building and producing armed drones and Majid missile."

Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard stated: "During the short time, many armed drones have been added to the Majid missile, which will be put into operational orbit."
