Tehran(IP): The Director General of South Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated that the Kabul meeting will be held next week with the presence of Iran and said that the presence of Afghanistan's neighbors in this meeting shows paying special attention to the peace, stability and well-being of the Afghan people and security in the region.

Iran PressIran news: The director-general of the West Asia Department at Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Seyed Rasool Mousavi, announced that Kabul will witness significant regional diplomatic activity next week.

He further said: "The regional meeting in Kabul, in which Iran, Pakistan, Russia, and China are participating will be held before the Doha meeting on Feb 17, 2024, indicating the special focus of Afghanistan's neighbors on the peace, stability and prosperity of the Afghan people and security in the region.

According to Iran press; Amir Khan Motaghi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, today met with the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, India, Turkey, and Indonesia in Kabul.

He considered the status of Afghanistan's diplomatic relations with the countries of the region to be significant and emphasized that the countries of the region should conduct regional consultations to increase and continue positive interaction with Afghanistan.
