Iran Press/America: The former vice president held up his schedule, which he noted includes daily updates on how many U.S. soldiers have died while serving overseas, Washington Examiner reported.
"U.S. troops died in Iran and Afghanistan, 6,000, as of today, 923," Biden said.
"Not roughly 6,900 — 923, because every one of these fallen angels left behind a family, left behind a community. There is an empty seat at that table now," he said.
Biden corrected himself when he noted the number of U.S. troops who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"U.S. troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, 53,192. Not over 53,000," he said. "I have flown back on those C-130s with the caskets draped coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I have been there at Dover airbase when those bodies come home."
Biden's verbal gaffes have been the subject of attack by President Trump's reelection campaign, which has put out ads, social media posts, and messaging on his slip-ups to suggest he is mentally unfit for the presidency.
