Tehran (IP)- The representative of Iran's Jewish community in Majlis, Siamak Moreh-Sedgh stated that the Zionist regime seeks to abuse the Jewish religion, and in addition to the human duty, it is the religious duty of all Jews to rise up against the Zionist catastrophe in the world.

Iran PressIran news: "Although it is not possible to hold rallies and marches this year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the message of support for the Palestinian people and disgust with the Zionist regime can be conveyed in other ways," Siamak Moreh-Sedgh said, referring to 'International Quds Day'.

He added: "Rallies and marches are just some of the things we have done on this day, and we can keep this day alive longer than before by giving speeches, announcing support and using cyberspace in support of the Palestinian people."

"It is the human duty to take action on this day and on other days to realize the rights of the Palestinian people and to express their protest and disgust with the Zionist regime," he said.

Iran's Jewish lawmaker in parliament added: "The Zionist regime seeks to abuse the Jewish religion and has no adherence to the principles of this religion, for example, its prime minister is arrested for theft. On the other hand, in many cases, we have witnessed a history of theft and moral corruption in Israel prime minister's case and previous presidents of this regime."

"Just as Muslims rise up, and declare their protest and disgust against people like bin Laden who seek to exploit the religion of Islam, so must the Jews of the world rise up against a disaster like Zionism and declare their disgust," he said.

International Quds Day, is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan that was initiated by Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians and oppose the Zionist regime of Israel.

This year's World Quds Day is on May 22, 2020.
