In a startling statement, the Israeli regime’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, has called for the complete dissolution of the United Nations.

Iran Press/America:  The remarks came during an interview with the Israeli television network i24 News, where Erdan expressed his belief that the international organization no longer serves a necessary role in the world.

Erdan stated, “The doors of the UN building in New York should be shut, and this institution should be wiped off the map.” He voiced his frustration, claiming that the United Nations has strayed far from its original mission, and added that he often leaves UN meetings upset and exhausted.

This is not the first time Erdan has made provocative gestures. In May 2024, during the General Assembly's discussion of a resolution for Palestine's full membership, Erdan shredded the UN Charter in a highly publicized act of defiance.

The Israeli regime has faced significant backlash from the international community over its actions in the Gaza Strip. The regime's recent military operations have been widely condemned, with multiple international bodies, including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, initiating legal actions against Israeli officials for alleged war crimes.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, in just the past 24 hours, the Israeli military has carried out three massacres in Gaza, resulting in 34 deaths and 114 injuries. The total death toll since the beginning of the conflict in October 2023 has now reached 40,173, with the number of injured standing at 92,857.

The ongoing conflict, which began on October 7, 2023, has devastated Gaza, with 70% of homes and infrastructure destroyed. The region remains under siege, facing a severe humanitarian crisis marked by famine and unprecedented suffering. Despite the prolonged conflict, the Israeli regime has admitted that it has yet to achieve its stated goals of eliminating Hamas and retrieving captured Israeli soldiers.
