Occupied Palestine (IP) - An iconic statue of Israel’s first Prime Minister was badly damaged in an arson attack on a Tel Aviv beach in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Iran PressWest Asia: David Ben-Gurion's statue was burned as the media warned over the unprecedented gap widening among the Israeli citizens across the occupied territories at the beginning of the new Hebrew year .

According to Hebrew media reports, a suspect aged 34 was arrested for damaging the statue near Frishman Beach in Tel Aviv overnight on Friday during the first night of Rosh Hashanah.

The statue is found on Bograshov beach, a popular destination for tourists and locals.

The incident signals a message to the Israeli leaders; it is construed as the spread of differences among the Israeli settlers as a result of Benjamin Netanyahu's actions to weaken the judicial system of the regime.

The popular protests and demonstrations against Netanyahu's cabinet and its Judicial reform plan have entered the 37th consecutive week across the occupied territories, which have encompassed even the army and police forces of the regime.

On Thursday, September 14, the Israeli media published reports emphasizing that the Israeli settlers will hold the Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) ceremony under the shadow of an unprecedented social divide and severe security tensions.

This year, more than 200 warnings were issued by Shabak about the Palestinian groups intended to carry out operations in the West Bank; warnings about the kidnapping of soldiers or operations against Israeli settlers on West Bank roads, an Israeli military expert Alon Ben-David said in the Chanel 13 of the Israeli regime's TV.

Israeli settlers these days feel they have lost their personal security; they have realized that the situation is not right under control.
