Iran Press/West Asia: Eyewitnesses cited by Al-Alam news network confirmed hearing a strong explosion in the region, and SANA (Syrian Arab News Agency) also reported hearing blasts around Damascus, though the nature of the attack was initially unclear.
According to local news reports and eyewitnesses cited by al-Alam, the explosion, which occurred in the early hours, resulted in at least six people killed and left 15 others wounded.
Sayyida Zaynab, a region known for its religious significance, has been a frequent target of Israeli airstrikes in recent years, mainly due to its proximity to areas where Iranian and Hezbollah forces are allegedly stationed.
This attack adds to the growing tensions in Syria's ongoing conflict, where Israeli forces have repeatedly conducted airstrikes, killing civilians.
