Iran Press/Middle East: The General Directorate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces announced today (Friday) in a statement that it has arrested a person who was spying for the Israeli regime in the city of Bekaa (in southern Lebanon).
According to the official News Agency of Lebanon " NNA ", the General Directorate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces said in a statement that its forces recently identified a person named "M.Y" (Born 1990-Lebanese) that is associated with the intelligence service of Tel Aviv.
According to the report, Lebanese security forces were able to arrest this person on 2021,30, 06 in the western Bekaa region.
According to the statement, after interrogating this person, he confessed that in early 2019, he sent an e-mail to the Israeli regime's security services and asked to cooperate with them.
The General Directorate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces announced that after sending the e-mail, someone contacted him and offered him to collect information for them in exchange for money and to do a series of things that the report did not mention.
The statement went on to say that the man had agreed to the offer and, after gathering information, he had sent the necessary information to the enemy.
The General Directorate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces also announced that this person had sent other emails to the Israeli army and was trying to cooperate with them.
The report comes as Lebanese sources reported last year that the Lebanese forces had identified and arrested a man named "Kinda al-Khatib" for links to the Israeli regime.
After the 33-day war in 2006, which resulted in the heavy defeat of Israel by Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Israeli military and intelligence agents increased their security and intelligence activities in Lebanon.
The Israeli agents, drones, and bombers have repeatedly entered Lebanese territory with the aim of spying.
