In a televised speech on IRIB, Pezeshkian stated that during a recent visit to the United States for a UN meeting, discussions took place with European officials. A week later, an agreement was anticipated in Europe that could solve ongoing issues. However, internal challenges were created in Iran to foster frustration and prevent a global agreement, keeping the public dissatisfied and voicing their discontent.
He stated that discussions were progressing well, having engaged with the French president, the president of the European Union, the Norwegian prime minister, the Swedish prime minister, and officials from Switzerland and other European nations to resolve misunderstandings.
Regarding Europe's policy of non-engagement, Pezeshkian noted that despite these dialogues, Europe implemented additional sanctions on Iran. He emphasized that Iran is not pursuing war or chaos, but rather aims for peace and security.
He added that the disruptions targeted at Iran stem from a desire to hinder its success, with the intent of fostering doubt among the people about their government.
He highlighted his government's foreign policy, stating, "We have held over 95, possibly 100 meetings with presidents and prime ministers, reflecting our anticipated trend of engaging with the world and neighboring countries, which can be our saving grace."
"We must work towards a prosperous and developed economy. Later this month, we will become an observer in the Eurasian Economic Union, enabling us to establish low or zero tariff relations with 5 or 6 countries. This will open a market for our producers, and economic and financial experts will accompany us on this trip."
The President stated that since taking office, discussions and agreements with the President of China have been ongoing, and efforts are underway to implement them. A group of Chinese experts will arrive in Iran next week.
Pezeshkian said: We talked with Russia and there were agreements between us, our experts reviewed them again in oil, gas, roads, and other issues, and we held several meetings to implement them. I spoke with Putin today and he said he will send his two deputies to Iran next week. We will finalize the agreements so that we can sign the official process of the agreements at a meeting that will be held in January.
He stated, "We have agreements with India and Iraq, and we are working to implement the agreements and cooperation we can establish with neighboring countries."
The president said that his administration is seeking to develop relations with all countries in the world, while prioritizing broadening ties with Muslim and neighboring nations.
He reiterated Iran's call for Islamic unity, stressing that "We are like brothers with all our neighbors.... The colonialists want to provoke us into a fight, but we must be vigilant."
"In my talks today with officials from various countries, including Russia, Syria, and Qatar, we agreed on an important point that we should not let terrorists shed blood again in the region."
