Beirut (IP) – In the most intense airstrikes since the implementation of the recent ceasefire, Israeli forces bombed multiple targets across Lebanon late Monday, December 2. The strikes mark a significant escalation, with both Lebanese officials and media outlets condemning the attacks as a breach of sovereignty and international agreements.

Iran Press/West Asia: The Israeli Air Force claimed responsibility for targeting dozens of targets in South Lebanon, including areas in Haris and Tallousa. These strikes resulted in ten fatalities and several injuries, according to local Lebanese reports.

Lebanese media, including Al-Mayadeen TV, criticized the attacks, describing them as clear violations of the ceasefire agreement brokered just last week. Channel 12, an Israeli outlet, confirmed airstrikes on 30 separate locations in Lebanon, escalating tensions in the already volatile region.

The ceasefire, effective November 27, was intended to end over 14 months of Israeli aggressions against Lebanon. However, the deal appears increasingly fragile. Lebanese media reported 73 ceasefire violations by Israeli forces within just one week, undermining its credibility.

"The ceasefire has turned into little more than a name," said a Lebanese official, speaking on condition of anonymity. "This latest attack only proves how precarious the situation remains."
