Iran Press/ West Asia: The number of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the 260th day of war on Gaza has risen to 37,551 martyrs and 85,911 injured while several dead bodies are trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense staff, the ministry said in a statement.
At least 42 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks on the Shati refugee camp and the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza, the head of Gaza’s Government Media Office said.
Also on Friday airstrike at people taking refuge in the tents in the Al-Mawasi region located on the north-western side of Rafah, at least 30 people were killed and and 50 others injured, some of them in critical conditions.
Palestinian Red Crescent staff are among the casualties of the al-Mawasi incident.
EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell has called for a probe into deadly shelling that damaged an office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli tanks push deeper into western Rafah as warplanes and artillery pound the city where an armored vehicle was destroyed by a Hamas-planted improvised explosive device.
