Iran Press/ Iran News: After the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA), in April 1979, the referendum of the Islamic Republic was held throughout Iran.
According to the results of this referendum, which was announced on April 1st, 1979, more than 98 percent of those eligible to participate in the referendum agreed with the establishment of the Islamic Republic.
On this occasion, the "12th day of Farvardin" (In the Persian Calendar) is named the day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the army public relations report, the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement:

The Statement added: The 1st of April was the day of crystallization and the manifestation of the Resolution of a wise and knowledgeable nation in determining its own destiny and serves as the origin of the holy system of the Islamic Republic, which has brought independence and honor to our beloved country.
The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, commemorating the 12th of Farvardin, the day of the "Islamic Republic", stated: The zealous Iranian nation in the army with full power will protect and safeguard the Islamic system, which is the achievement of the zealous nation of Iran and the result of the blood of thousands of the Rosy shroud martyrs, and the sincere struggle of the veterans of war, to the end of their lives and any aggression against the territorial integrity, independence and the Holy system of The Islamic Republic of Iran will be responded with decisive and timely action.
