Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman slammed the United States regarding its stance on Iran's presidential elections and interfering remarks.

Iran PressIran news: Nasser Kana'ani on Friday lambasted US 'interference' in Iran's domestic affairs, after the US Deputy Special Envoy for Iran, Abram Paley, had said that Friday's Election was not expected to change "Iran's direction".

"As the Iranian regime prepares for its presidential elections, the US unfortunately does not expect free and fair elections or fundamental change in Iran's direction," Abram Paley wrote in a series of posts on his X account on Wednesday.

Kana'ani on Friday considered these statements as exaggeration and an obvious interference in Iran's internal affairs, expressing condemnation of this action.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman underlined that the US authorities will not stop from such worthless statements and the Iranian people will respond to such interventionist statements with their strong turnout in the presidential election.

The presidential election is underway right now across the Islamic Republic of Iran.
