Tehran (IP) - The commander of the IRGC Navy said: "Our youth should get to know about the sea, we are a maritime country, and the sea is a great and strategic opportunity for us.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at a ceremony to thank those who held tours to visit war regions called” Rahian Noor,” Alireza Tangsiri stated: "Ninety percent of trades are carried out by sea, and oil and gas are two essential resources of the country in the ocean."

Tangsiri added: "If there are no ships and missiles, there is no livelihood. This power caused the US to retreat in the Persian Gulf."

The IRGC Navy commander pointed out that Iran has many essential islands, and 2,200 km in the south have a water border, so the youth should be familiar with these capacities.

He added: "The Islamic Republic has the deepest water in the Persian Gulf, which ships have to pass through."

He said: "We must narrate the work of the martyrs for the youth as owners of the Islamic revolution and know that we are victorious in the unequal battle because it is God's promise."
