(IP) – Iran’s first vice President, has said that the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the killing of women and children are "genocide and crimes against humanity."

Iran PressIran news:  Mohammad Mokhber, in his Thursday meeting with China's Communist Party International Department chief Liu Jianchao, appreciated China's stance regarding the Palestine issue.

He thanked China for supporting Iran's membership in BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Iranian VP lambasted the Zionists' war crimes in the Gaza Strip, saying, "Unfortunately the international bodies are not fulfilling their duties in this regard (holding the Israeli regime accountable) and are not reacting effectively."

Mokhber also underlined Iran's extensive capacities such as oil and gas resources, the existence of large mines, and its exceptional location for the development of transit.

According to Mokhber, the implementation of the 25-year cooperation agreement between Iran and China can provide a suitable basis for securing the interests of the two states by activating these capacities.

Jianchao, who had already met several Iranian officials on Wednesday, stated that meetings of the delegations of the two countries in the past year show the will of both sides to expand relations and develop cooperation.

Criticizing the unilateral U.S. sanctions against Tehran, Jianchao said, "China is ready to use past experiences to find appropriate solutions to improve the level of cooperation between the two countries."
