Pasteur Institute: Iranian vaccines to reach global market

Tehran (IP): President of the Pasteur Institute of Iran said that Iranian coronavirus vaccines would definitely take a significant share of the global market.

Iran PressIran news: Alireza Biglari appeared on a live TV program on Sunday night to talk about the export of Pasto-​COVO vaccine.

He said: "Given the 100-year history of vaccine production, proven safe and effective vaccine and effectiveness against new mutations, the export market for this vaccine will be open."

He noted: "The Pasteur Institute complex has a hundred-year history in the field of production and this complex is one of the oldest manufacturers of vaccines in the region and the world."

Biglari added: "It has been proven that this vaccine can be used safely between the ages of 18 and 90."

The head of the Pasteur Institute of Iran said: "44,000 people in Cuba and 24,000 people in Iran have received the second dose of the joint vaccine of the Pasteur Institute of Iran and Cuba."

Biglari went on to say: "The joint vaccine of the Pasteur Institute of Iran and the Finlay Institute of Cuba are in the final phase at the same time, and 44,000 people in Cuba and 24,000 in 8 cities of Iran have received the second dose."

He added: "In the past year, vaccine technology in the country has advanced by 20 years, in other words, COVID- 19, with all its problems, has provided a unique opportunity for the country's vaccine industry."

So far, in Iran, 4,384,451 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 919,557 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected reached 5,304,008 doses.
