Iran Press/ Iran news: Ghazavi, the CEO of a pioneering Iranian technology company, announced that his team is actively engaged in the development of commercial drones, concentrating on various applications, including aerial filming, mapping, agriculture, and pest and seed spraying.
Ghazavi identified the design and construction of filming drones as one of the company’s significant achievements, noting that the use of these drones has become common in the country. To meet the demand, Iran has been importing commercial drones from abroad.
He raised concerns about the security of imported drones, referencing incidents involving pagers in Lebanon. “Imported drones have minimal security, making them unreliable,” he stated, which motivated the decision to produce drones domestically.
In addition to improved security, Ghazavi highlighted the competitive pricing of their drones as another advantage. While similar drones are imported for approximately 300 million tomans, his company produces them for about 200 million tomans, offering superior quality compared to imported models.
The CEO also emphasized the versatility of these drones, stating that they can be equipped with various cameras, including infrared and thermal imaging for nighttime operations, as well as cameras with zoom capabilities of up to 180x.
He concluded by noting that the drones have a flight endurance ranging from a minimum of 40 minutes and that the research and development phase of the product is complete, with commercialization underway.
