Iran Press/ Europe: On Tuesday, after the official opening of Iran's Cultural Week in Russia, Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili and Russian Minister of Culture Olga Borisovna Lyubimova, visited different parts of the cultural event centered on the exhibition of Iranian handicrafts.
Attending a press conference on the sidelines of his visit to the Russian State University of Human Science on Thursday, Mohammad-Mahdi Esmaili told reporters that Iran-Russia bilateral cultural interactions pave the way for a prosperous human society in which philosophy and humanities scholars play an important role.
Esmaili said that today the two great civilizations, Iran and Russia, have come together to build the route to the new future.
He referred to the recent West's desecration of the Islamic sanctities and noted that such blasphemous acts indicated the fact that the American and Western ideology and civilization are declining, thus presenting the West with a more unfavorable image to the world.
It is about two centuries that the West has been trying to metamorphize the Iranian-Islamic culture by destroying people's thinking power, but the great nations and genuine civilizations never tolerate humiliation.
