Iran Press/ Iran News: In his congratulatory message to President of Indonesia Joko Widodo on the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Ebrahim Raisi expressed hope that historical, cultural ties, and common interests would lead to the continuation of close relations, lasting friendship, and strengthening of ties between the two nations.
He wrote, "I believe that due to the existence of countless opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, the expansion of bilateral and multilateral relations in the direction of mutual interests and in the direction of maintaining international peace and stability can promise a new chapter in the development of relations between the two great nations of Iran and Indonesia as well as the Islamic world."
