Damascus (IP) - The Iranian parliamentary delegation met and discussed with the Palestinian groups in Damascus, the capital of Syria.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Iran Press, Hossein Akbari, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria, on Tuesday, during a meeting of Palestinian groups in Damascus, called Palestine the central issue of the Islamic world and emphasized supporting the rights and cause of Palestine.

In the meeting, various Palestinian personalities regarded the Islamic Republic of Iran as a faithful supporter of Palestine and praised Iran's support for the Palestinians.

The parliamentary delegation headed by Vahid Jalalzadeh, the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, started a seven-day trip to Syria and Lebanon on Monday.

After consulting with the Syrian officials, they will travel to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
