Iran Press/ Iran News: The Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister, Henrik Thune, entered Tehran to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amir Abdollahian, on Saturday, April 30.
During the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister underlined the importance of expanding political, trade, and parliamentary relations between the two countries and considered the participation of Iranians residing in Norway in various political, economic, and scientific scenes as a valuable asset for strengthening the ties between nations and developing relations.
The two sides considered the meeting of the two countries' political consultations at the level of the Deputy Foreign Ministers as a good opportunity to promote mutual understanding and interaction.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also explained Iran's position on developments in Ukraine and the region, including security and stability in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Ukraine.
The Norwegian deputy foreign minister, for his part, considered developing diplomatic contacts with the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the important priorities of Norwegian foreign policy in the region.
Henrik Thune also explained his country's position in welcoming the expansion of Tehran-Oslo relations and the developments in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
