Iran Press/ Iran News: The fourth World Taekwondo President’s Cup for Asia region in the weights of -54, -63, -74 and -87 kg commenced on Saturday in Tehran with the participation of 102 taekwondo fighters from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the Refugee Team.
The Iranian representatives in three weights along with a Jordanian Taekwondoin won the first-day gold.
Mehdi Jaj-Musaei in -54 kg, Mir-Hashem Hosseini in -74 kg, and Mehran Barkhordari in the weight of -87 kg won the gold medal.
Zaid al-Halawani from Jordan also won the -63 kg weight class gold medal.
The Iranian Taekwondo team also won two silver and four bronze medals on the first day of the competition.
