Tehran (IP) - A group of Iranian lawyers gathering outside the French embassy in Tehran, once again, asked the Paris prosecutor to take action against the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on June 28, 1981, in Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: A year ago, some Iranian lawyers had been gathered outside the French embassy in Tehran and asked the prosecutor to take action against the perpetrators of the terrorist event on 28 June 1981 (7 Tir 1360 in the Iranian calendar), in which a powerful bomb went off at the headquarters of the Islamic Republican Party (IRP) in Tehran.

The bomb killed 74 members of the party, including Ayatollah Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti, the head of the Iranian judicial system and Secretary-General of IRP.

According to Iran Press News Agency, the lawyers participating at the rally once again asked the Paris prosecutor to try them instead of sheltering the terrorists.

The demonstrators carried placards that read, "Either trial or extradition."

Izz al-Din Soleimani, the lawyer of the central member and inspector of the Supreme Council of Lawyers, said in an interview with Iran Press: "Despite many years of filing a complaint, there is still no determination from French judiciary to bring the perpetrators to the justice."
