Jordan (IP) - The Iranian team of Greco-Roman wrestling stood in first place in the 2023 Asian Championship, with 10 medals in 10 weight categories.

Iran PressMiddle East: The wrestling competitions were held on July 15 and 16 in Aman, the capital of Jordan, as the Iranian wrestler succeeded in winning five golds, one silver, and four bronzes and won the champion titles of the contest.  

Mohammad Ashiri in the 60 kg, Ahoura Boyeri in the 6 kg, Abolfazl Choubani in the 87 kg, Amir-Reza Akbari in 97 kg, and Fardin Hedayati in the 130 kg weight categories snatched the gold medals. 

Still, Mohammad Mahdi Miri in the 72 kg weight category won the silver medal; Ali Ahamdi-Vafa in the 55 kg, Reza Gheitasi in the 63 kg, Alireza Abdoli in the 77 kg, and Yasin Yazdi in the 82 kg weight categories achieved the bronze medals. 

Therefore, in the team ranking, Iran, with 250 points, stood in first place, Uzbekistan in second place with 180 points, and Kazakhstan in third place with 170 points.
