Iran Press/Asia: Mohammad Javad Zarif held a productive meeting with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov on Wednesday. Two Ministers discussed mutual interests along with regional developments.
Iran’s Foreign Minister also met Afghanistan’s National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib and discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan, Iran Press reported.
Iranian Foreign Minister and his Iraqi counterpart Mohamed Ali Alhakim met and discussed the latest developments in Tehran-Baghdad relations, regional issues, particularly the situation in northern Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, the most recent developments in the Persian Gulf, Iran’s initiative for regional peace, known as the Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE), as well as the other issues of mutual interest.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Zarif met his Serbian counterpart, Ivica Dacic, in Baku.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral ties between the two nations as well as the latest regional and international developments, including the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
The ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) kicks off in Baku with the Foreign Minister of Iran's attendance.
The 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement member-states will be held in Baku on Oct. 25-26.
President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to depart for Baku on Thursday to attend the Summit.
Representatives of 158 countries and international organizations confirmed their participation in the summit. The event will be attended by foreign ministers, heads of state and government and other senior representatives. 101
