Beirut (IP)- Iranian Foreign Minister left Lebanon for Syria.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Beirut for Damascus on Saturday, continuing his visit to the region's countries.

Amir-Abdollahian traveled to Russia and Lebanon last week to meet with officials from the two countries. 

During his first visit to Lebanon as Iranian Foreign Minister, Amir-Abdollahian met with senior Lebanese officials, including President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib and talked about regional and bilateral issues.

Emphasizing the strong support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Lebanon, the Iranian foreign minister announced the government's readiness to provide comprehensive support.

Before arriving in Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian met with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, in Moscow.
