Kabul (IP) - Iranian Deputy Ambassador to Kabul held a meeting with former Afghan president Hamid Karzai to discuss current developments in Afghanistan.

Iran PressAsia: Deputy-Chief of Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, Hassan Mortazavi, met with former President Hamid Karzai on Saturday.

Regarding the content of the meeting, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul tweeted: "The Iranian deputy ambassador and the former president of Afghanistan discussed the long-standing and good relations between the two countries, current developments in Afghanistan, the region and the world."

Iran has consistently underlined its policy to create stability, security and positive interaction with its neighbors, namely Afghanistan.
