Kabul (IP) - Iran's special Envoy to Afghanistan and the chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of the former Afghan government met and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Iran PressAsia: On the fourth day of his visit to Kabul, Hassan Kazemi-Ghomi, Iran's Special envoy to Afghanistan met with Abdullah Abdullah, the chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of the former Afghan government, to discuss the current situation in the country.

Iran's top diplomat also discussed the continuation of Tehran's cooperation with Kabul in the fields of economy, trade, humanitarian affairs and education.

According to the report, Iran's special envoy to Afghanistan talked about his meetings in Kabul yesterday (on Wednesday):

"Formation of Iran-Afghanistan Joint Cooperation Committees and the process of affairs to improve the conditions of the Afghan people were agreed upon to be regularly followed and implemented."

Also on the third day of the visit of Kazemi-Ghomi to Kabul, the Joint Cooperation Committees between the two countries began to work.

Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Taliban in five committees on economy, fuel, water and electricity, foreign nationals and culture presented their plans for the development of relations between Iran and Afghanistan.
