Ball is in western governments' court regarding Vienna talks

"The US will pay for their illegal withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)," he noted.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman says the United States cannot pay for its destructive and wrong decisions out of the pockets of the Iranian people, adding that Western governments today face a test in Vienna, and the ball is in their court.

"The United States cannot pay for its destructive and wrong decisions, including its illegal withdrawal from the JCPOA, out of the pockets of the Iranian people; they must gain the trust of the Iranian nation and return from the path they took; we are waiting to see this change in behavior in Vienna," Khatibzadeh underlined.

Khatibzadeh stated: "Iran expects other parties to have made necessary decisions, especially Washington; we expect the delegations, including the United States, to return with clear instructions to fulfill their JCPOA commitments and lift sanctions."

"The Europeans had frequent inactions regarding the JCPOA, and the only way is for them to act carefully, in their own confession, and to pass over this absolute inaction toward the US extraterritorial sanctions and show that they are willing to fulfill their obligations," he pointed.

Reacting to the Israeli Prime Minister's remarks about reaching an agreement in Vienna, Khatibzadeh said: "In fact, the language of diplomacy and understanding is dangerous for them; they try to do whatever they can in the atmosphere of Iranophobia and anti-Iran policies but our friends in the region are aware of the regime's conspiracies."
