Tehran (IP) - Tehran won’t distance itself from result-oriented talks, Iran’s Foreign Minister says.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote in a tweet on Friday: “Abiding by Majlis (Parliament) law, we continue talks and call on the US to be realistic and abandon sanctions lunacy, and on IAEA to focus on technical duties instead of adopting a politicized approach.”

“We NEVER hesitate to neutralize sanctions,” Iran’s top diplomat added.

Meanwhile, Amir-Abdollahian said earlier that the United States was behind the recent anti-Tehran resolution, which was adopted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) ’s Board of Governors, in order to mount pressure on Iran in the Vienna talks.

In recent months, Iran has cited Washington’s indecisiveness as the reason behind the protraction of the Vienna sanctions removal talks, which have been held in the Austrian capital since April last year to restore the 2015 Iran deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), a deal ditched by former US President Donald Trump in May 2018.
