Paris (IP) - Iranian para-taekwondo players stand second at the European Para Championships, winning six medals.

Iran PressEurope: The 2023 European Para-Taekwondo Championship was held on Friday, June 30, in France, with the participation of 146 taekwondo athletes from 31 countries of the world.

Winning two golds and four bronzes, the Iranian representatives and the Iranian team (men and women) won the vice-championship title of the competition. 

Maryam Abdollahpour and Hamed Haghshenas won the gold medals in the -47 kg and +80 kg weight categories. 

Saeed Sadeghian, Mahdi Pour-Rahnama, Alireza Bakht, and Rosa Ebrahimi were the winners of the bronze medals respectively, in the -63 kg, -70 kg, -80 kg, and -57 kg weight categories. 

Turkiye's team stood in first place, and Uzbekistan won third place.
