Iran Press/ Iran News: "Security is not a matter that Iran would make a deal over, or compromise on," Esmaeil Khatib said on Wednesday.
He extended his gratitude to the government of Albania for taking “independent actions” against the terrorist organization of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO).
The intelligence minister also issued a warning to all governments that harbor the “dream” of disrupting Iran’s security, especially those that played a role in the recent riots in the country.
"Countries that support terrorists must be aware that the security of Iran and the preservation of peace and calm for its people are the top priorities for the Islamic Republic," Khatib stated.
His comments come a week after MKO terrorists clashed with Albanian police during a court-ordered search of their camp in the city of Manez. According to reports from Albanian media, at least two people were killed and 36 others wounded in the clashes.
Following the raid on their camp, Iran called on the Albanian government to make up for its mistake and will not allow the group to stay in its territory.
