Iran Press/ Iran News: The Chinese Defense Minister, General Wei Fenghe, arrived in Tehran to meet with Iranian officials and started his mission by meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Reza Gharaei Ashtiani.
During the meeting, the Iranian Defense Minister expressed concern over the escalation of security crises in the world, considered many of them to be rooted in the policies of the West and the United States, and called for strengthening multilateralism to counter these policies.
"Historical experience has shown that in every region of the world where the United States has a military presence, not only has it not brought stability and security but also insecurity, instability, conflict, pessimism, war, destruction, and displacement," he said.
Ashtiani criticized the West's double standards in dealing with humanitarian crises, saying that if Iran had not fought terrorism in the region, it would have spread to other parts of the world.
The Chinese Defense Minister also considered the unilateral policies of the United States as the root of many wars and insecurities and said: "Cooperation between Iran and China will play a significant role in thwarting these measures and fighting terrorism."
